The Junior Language Challenge is a unique annual competition for primary school children throughout the UK. For just £2.50, each child learns up to three exciting new languages and competes for the fantastic top prize a once in a life time holiday. Previous winners have enjoyed trips to Malawi and Zululand!
The competition is organised by Euro Talk Interactive, who publish learning software for all ages. All the children taking part in the Junior Language Challenge use Euro Talk CD ROMs to learn the languages at each stage of the competition. This means they can learn in their own time and at their own pace, so there's no need for teachers or parents to have any previous knowledge of the language. But this doesn't mean they can't get involved with learning too! Competitors must be ten or under on 31st August 2008 in order to compete, but there is no minimum age and in the past Euro Talk have been delighted to see finalists as young as six years old!
