The Sisters of the Cross, Guwahati.

The nuns here, led by Sister Agnes, run a women's development centre.

They offer courses in many subjects to women from a wide geographical area - so wide is their area of operation that they prefer the DVDs we send to be in English, as the local language (Assamese) is not always suitable if people have come from other areas to attend the courses.

Sister Agnes and her colleagues have reported great success with the early DVD lessons they've been using with the women - the only problem being that we have not as yet

been able to supply them with enough new lessons to satisfy demand (this is about to change however!).

The nuns take great pride in the Starfish equipment - so much so that when 2 of our associates visited (to update the starfish controllers that operate the DVDs) they reported

that all the TV monitors were protected from dust when not in use by hand knitted covers.
